About Us

About FOGs

Former Origin Greats is a non-profit organization which was formed in 1997 by the late Richard "Tosser" Turner, and is committed to the encouragement of sport and charities throughout Queensland.

Our members are the elite group of 167 players who have represented Queensland in State of Origin since its inception in 1980. Many of Queensland’s highest profile sportsmen are FOGS, including Allan Langer, Shane Webcke, Mal Meninga, Wally Lewis, Kevin Walters and Gorden Tallis.

Overseeing our operations is a board, chaired by Gene Miles, with deputy chaimen Rod Morris and John Ribot and directors Mal Meninga, Wally Lewis,  Shane Webcke, Chris Close, Mick McLean, Greg Oliphant, Trevor Gillmeister Gavin Allen and Don Jackson.
